Stay alert with requests to add new beneficiaries

Home

You may receive calls or messages from individuals claiming to represent official authorities, such as the police or consumer protection agencies, asking you to add a new beneficiary or transfer money to another account.

These requests may appear genuine, but it is important to always verify the source before taking any action.

How to protect yourself:

  • Never add a new beneficiary based on instructions received over the phone or through messages.
  • Never transfer money to a new account under pressure or following an unexpected request.
  • Verify the caller and the request directly with the relevant authority through the official channels.
  • Never share your banking details, password or One-Time Password (OTP) with anyone.
  • Pause and verify before taking any action involving your account or money.

Remember, someone claiming to represent an official authority does not mean the request is genuine. Always verify through official channels before adding a beneficiary or making a transfer.

Report suspicious activity
