Manage your credit card limits

Track and manage your primary and supplementary credit card limits easily via Online and Mobile Banking

Manage your credit card limits

Your credit card limit is assigned by the bank after taking several factors into consideration including the type of credit card, your income, the company you work for, your financial history and debt burden ratio.

Understanding your limits

Credit card limit: This is the maximum amount you can spend using your credit card.

Outstanding balance or utilised limit: This is the amount you spend and need to repay, at least in part before your payment due date.

Available credit limit: This is what's left after what you've spent or utilised from your credit card limit.

If you hold one or more supplementary credit cards, these cards will utilise a percentage of your total credit card limit. For example, if your credit card has a total limit of AED 10,000 and you assign your supplementary credit card 10% of your limit, the supplementary card holder can use AED 1,000 of your primary credit card limit.
