How long will it take to process my instalment request?

Your request will be processed instantly and reflect from the second credit card statement onwards.

The principal amount and the accrued interest until the second card statement date will be included in the subsequent instalments starting from the second card statement

How long do I have to repay the amount I convert to an instalment plan?

You can choose to pay back over 12, 18, 24, 36 or 48 months.

What happens if I miss a monthly instalment?

If you miss a monthly payment, your instalment plan will automatically be foreclosed. The full outstanding balance will be due immediately including foreclosure fees, and regular finance charges will apply to the remaining amount.

Can I cancel my Instalment Plan, and will I be charged?

Yes, if you settle the Instalment Plan early, a foreclosure fee of 1% of the principal outstanding plus 5% VAT, will apply.

What is the interest rate for an instalment plan?

A reducing monthly interest rate determined by Emirates NBD and charged on the principal amount, will apply. The interest rate is subject to change and is also based on Card usage and overall performance.

What happens to the Instalment Plan if I prepay what I owe?

Even if you prepay the full amount, your plan will remain active until you request cancellation by calling us on 600 54 0000 (UAE) or +971600540000 internationally. Once you call and cancel, a foreclosure fee of 1% of the principal outstanding and 5% VAT, will apply.

What happens if I close my Credit Card while I have an instalment plan?

All active instalment plans must be foreclosed before a Credit Card cancellation request can be processed. Foreclosure fees will apply.

When is my first instalment amount billed?

The first instalment will reflect on the second card statement post booking.
