Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, won the prestigious 'Achievement in Market Risk Management' award in the Middle East and Africa at The Asian Banker Middle East & Africa Transaction Banking and Risk Awards Ceremony 2017.

Bank wins ‘Achievement in Market Risk Management’

Dubai, 17 December 2017: Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, won the prestigious ‘Achievement in Market Risk Management’ award in the Middle East and Africa at The Asian Banker Middle East & Africa Transaction Banking and Risk Awards Ceremony 2017. In addition, the bank’s Chief Risk Officer was recognised as ‘Risk Manager of the Year’ for the second consecutive year.

At an award ceremony held in Dubai, the bank was recognised for the transformation and strengthening of its Market and Treasury Credit Risk Management unit over the last couple of years in order to meet internal and external demands. As part of its transformation, the bank recruited senior staff and revamped policies, processes, systems, reporting and stake holder engagement in order to enhance risk management of business units as well as new risks resulting from business growth.

Going forward, we will continue to keep pace with the changing external environment by strengthening and enhancing our platform.”
