The risk of accidental damage or theft is real. With Emirates NBD Visa Purchase Protection, you don’t have to worry.

All Emirates NBD Visa Platinum, Signature or Infinite debit and credit cards come insured with Purchase Protection.

Things to note:

You must pay for the product in full with your Visa card
This is applicable for new purchases only
Coverage is valid for a maximum of 365 days from the date of purchase
A written claim must be made no later than 28 days from the date of an incident

How to submit a claim

A claim must be submitted within 28 days after an incident by emailing creditcardclaims@crawco.me.

The following information must be provided:

Your full name
The first 9 digits of your covered card number
Your address
Brief details of your claim

Once you send the email, the insurance company will send you a claim form to complete, sign, and return within 7 days with the following documents:

Original receipt proving that you paid for the item entirely with the eligible card
A copy of the original written police report, if applicable
A statement of your card account showing the account is open and in good standing
Any other relevant documents

FAQs

How long does it take for a claim to be processed?

Once you submit a claim by emailing creditcardclaims@crawco.me, the insurance company will send you a claim form with further instructions. You'll need to complete, sign, and return this form to the company with the documents specified within 7 days of making the original claim by email.

Does Visa Purchase Protection cover purchases made using supplementary credit cards too?

Yes it does, but remember purchases made on supplementary eligible cards are part of the primary cardholders’ annual limit, and not in addition.

Do I have to pay anything to be covered by Visa Purchase Protection or is it active by default?

The buyer’s protection is active by default on all Emirates NBD Visa Platinum, Signature or Infinite debit and credit cards.

How can I cancel the Purchase Protection cover on my credit card?

The purchase protection insurance is a default benefit provided by Visa as part of the card features and benefits.
