When you are traveling, you want to be sure that you can use your debit or credit card to make convenient, secure and smart payments wherever you are.

Emirates NBD and Visa bring you the Location Confirmation Service which protects you no matter where you travel in the world.

Our Location Confirmation Service uses the power of real time geo-location intelligence to evaluate whether your mobile device and your Emirates NBD Visa debit or credit card are in the same location when you are making a purchase withdrawing cash. With this information, your transactions are less likely to be classified as fraud, ensuring enhanced security and convenience especially when you are travelling abroad.

You can enroll any or all your Emirates NBD Visa credit and debit cards easily at any time through the Mobile Banking app.

Once you sign up, you can enable more cards, disable cards, or even disable this service at any time through the steps mentioned below.

Steps to activate the Mobile Location Confirmation Service:

Through Products

  • Log in to Mobile Banking
  • On the Home page, select your Account/Card and tap the image of the card
  • Tap Settings > Card location control and choose one of the options to allow card payments
    • For manual selection, tap Change, select the countries, then Save
  • Enter your Smart Pass PIN*

Your location control will instantly be updated. You will receive a message and email confirmation on the update.

Through Services

  • Log in to Mobile Banking
  • Tapon the bottom of the app
  • Tap Apply for New Service > Debit/Credit/Prepaid card > Card control – Geo Location or search ‘location’ and select it from your search results
  • Select your card, choose one of the options to allow card payments
    • For manual selection, tap Change and select the countries, then Save
  • Enter your Smart Pass PIN*

Your location control will instantly be updated. You will receive a message and email confirmation on the update.

*Don’t know your Smart Pass PIN or have not yet registered for Smart Pass? Reset your PIN or register for Smart Pass now.
