Open a joint account

To open a joint account, all the applicants must visit an Emirates NBD Branch with these documents.

Your joint account will be opened the same day and all joint account holders can start operating it.

You can open a new joint account by:

  • Opening a new savings or current account and making it into a joint account; or
  • Converting an existing savings or current account to a joint account by adding one or more account holders

Operating your joint account

You can operate a joint accounts singly or jointly. While singly operated accounts can be operated by any of the account holders, jointly operated accounts need the signature of all account holders for any transaction. You can specify your need at the bank while opening the account.
