Auto debits for credit card payments

Never miss a payment again with the auto debit feature on our credit cards

Why you should set up auto debits

Never worry about missing your credit card payment due date again. Just automate your payments by setting up monthly direct debits from your Emirates NBD or Emirates Islamic Bank accounts.

You can choose to pay 5%, 10%, 25%, 50% or 100% of your bill by auto debit and change this percentage any time you need to.

If you don't have an Emirates NBD account, you can open one now and take advantage of the benefits of banking with us.

FAQs

Auto debit instructions can be activated from any of your Emirates NBD AED or foreign currency accounts. For Emirates Islamic accounts, you can only use your AED account.

No, you can't set up auto debits for your Emirates NBD Credit Card from an account in another bank, but you can open an account with us and enjoy the benefit of auto debits right away.

Auto debit instructions can only be set up to make a payment towards a primary credit card from one of the primary credit card holder’s accounts.
If the payment you make is equivalent to or higher than your auto debit instruction payment amount and it is made at least 24 hours prior to your credit card payment/due date, then your auto debit instruction will not be carried out. If the payment amount is less than your auto debit instruction payment amount, then the remaining amount will be debited through the auto debit instruction on the due date.
If you don’t have enough money in your account on your credit card payment date, the auto debit will not happen and you'll incur late payment charges. In addition, the auto debit payment amount will be placed on hold in your account. The best thing to do in this case is to deposit or transfer the amount due on your credit card, to your account. Doing this will complete the auto debit payment to your credit card and release the amount on hold in your account. If, instead, you opt to pay your credit card dues directly, the amount will remain on hold in your account and you'll need to contact the bank to have it released.
