Dubai, July 23, 2014: Emirates NBD Asset Management Limited, the asset management arm of Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, announced today that it has been named the "Best Investment Management Company 2014, UAE" at the World Finance Investment Management Awards 2014. The award was presented to Emirates NBD Asset Management at a ceremony held recently in London.

Emirates NBD Asset Management received the award in recognition of its innovative approach to risk and asset liability management, as well as overall performance, investment strategy, market transformation, leadership, transparency, and governance, among others. Now into its fifth year, the World Finance Investment Management Awards recognise leading innovative companies that represent the benchmark for investment management globally.

Winners of the Investment Management Awards are selected through a rigorous methodology, the first phase of which sees World Finance readers nominating companies in different categories. Once the initial voting process is over, the research team at World Finance analyses each nomination and the shortlisted entries are then presented to an expert panel of judges.

The jury was particularly impressed with the overall performance of funds as well as the qualitative and structural criteria employed by Emirates NBD Asset Management to further establish its standing as a leading asset manager in the UAE and the wider Middle East region.

The global recognition for Emirates NBD Asset Management comes soon after the regional awards that the business received at the MENA Fund Manager Performance Awards 2014, including: UAE Asset Manager of the Year; MENA Equity Fund of the Year; and Balanced Fund of the Year. Additionally, Emirates NBD Asset Management was also recognized as "Best Asset Management Firm - 2014," at the Banker Middle East awards this year.

The award win is also the latest in a series of prestigious recognitions for Emirates NBD Group. Some of the recent wins include among others: 'Best Debt House' at EMEA Finance Middle East Banking Awards; 'Best Local Bank – UAE' at Euromoney Private Banking and Wealth Management Survey; 'Middle East Regional Bank of the Year' at IFR Middle East Awards; and 'Best Investment Bank in the UAE' at World Finance Banking Awards.
