What is the EarlySaver Account?

The EarlySaver Account is a children-focused savings account designed to help parents save for a child’s future. It offers interest up to 0.75% per annum, monthly interest credit, AED-only availability, and the option to link to an EarlySaver Deposit for automatic top-ups.

Can I open an EarlySaver Account for my child?

Yes. Emirates NBD states that the EarlySaver Account is an alternative to a Minor Account and can be opened under your own banking profile in the child’s name. A supplementary debit card can also be issued to the child.

What interest rate does the EarlySaver Account offer?

The EarlySaver Account offers 0.50% per annum when the balance is less than or equal to AED 5,000 and 0.75% per annum for higher balances. Interest is calculated on the daily closing balance and credited monthly.

Is the EarlySaver Account available in other currencies?

No. The EarlySaver Account and the linked EarlySaver Deposit are available in AED only.

Can the EarlySaver Account be linked to a deposit?

Yes. Each EarlySaver Account can be linked to an EarlySaver Deposit. The deposit has a 12-month tenure with auto rollover, and any amount above your chosen account limit can be transferred automatically to the linked deposit.
