ENBD has partnered with MasterCard international to bring you the GlobalCash Card - a chip and PIN protected prepaid MasterCard which can hold up to 15 currencies.

You can load the currencies onto the card and use it for online purchases or to pay for goods and services at around 35 million merchants worldwide, or use millions of ATMs globally to access your money quickly and safely. You can also use the card with Apple Pay and Samsung Pay for contactless payments.

How it works

In case of insufficient funds for a particular currency during a transaction, your Global Cash Card will automatically deduct it from any other available currencies. The hierarchy for the currencies in your card is as follows - AED, USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD, INR, SAR, PHP, ZAR, TRY, THB, LKR, CHF, PKR.

FAQs

How can I replace my GlobalCash Card?

If you’re in the UAE, visit any of our branches before 2pm. You can also call the MasterCard call center on 800 044 0628 (from the UAE) or +44-207-649-9404 (internationally) for an emergency card replacement.

Can I transfer from a foreign currency account to my GlobalCash Card?

No, it can only be done from an AED account.

Can I apply for supplementary cards for GlobalCash Card?

No, but there is an add-on card which can be issued only along with the primary card. This acts as a mirror/duplicate card. Add-on cards can only be requested during card issuance. If you require an add-on card after your card has been issued, you’ll need to cancel your existing card and apply for a new one.

How long is the GlobalCash Card valid for?

The GlobalCash Card is valid for 5 years.

How old do I need to be to get a GlobalCash Card?

You need to be at least 18 years old to apply for a GlobalCash Card.

I made a deposit to my GlobalCash Card through a Cash Deposit Machine and the amount is not credited, what should I do?

Please call +971 600 540000 and have the following details at hand: the machine ID, location, amount, time, date, GlobalCash card number, your Emirates NBD or Emirates Islamic Bank account.

If you don’t have accounts at these banks, mention the bank and branch from where you would like to collect the money.

My GlobalCash Card does not appear on my Online or Mobile banking platform? What should I do?

If you can’t see your GlobalCash Card in your online and mobile banking profile, please call us on +971 600 540000 and follow the instructions. Your request will be processed within 3 days.

For any issues with your GlobalCash card, please contact the MasterCard call center at 800 044 0628.

Whom do I contact for Purchase Protection or card fraud protection claims?

All notices should be sent to: American Home Assurance Company (Dubai Br.), Claims Department, The H Hotel Complex, Trade Centre First, 27th Floor, P.O. Box 40569, Dubai, UAE. +971 4 5096111.

Written notice of a claim must be submitted no later than 30 days from the date of the incident to avoid your claim being denied.

How long does it take to receive my emergency card replacement?

It takes 1 to 2 days depending on the location and proximity of courier companies.

Do we have the option to select the currency while loading the card?

By default, it only loads to your AED purse.
