When you cancel a credit card, your account is closed and you have to apply again if you want a new primary or supplementary credit card. On the other hand, when you block a card, you can unblock it again or request a replacement. Please note, if your card has been misplaced, stolen, or if you suspect that a fraudulent transaction has occurred, you should block your card immediately and have it replaced.
