Earning Skywards Miles on your debit card

You earn Skywards Miles every time you make a retail purchase or payment using your Emirates NBD Skywards Visa Infinite Debit Card. The Miles earned are based on the average monthly balance in your savings account, and on the type of transaction.

Miles earning rate per USD spend:

If your average monthly balance falls below AED 250,000 in any given month, you won’t earn any Miles for transactions in that month.

*Note on domestic retail spends:

Grocery, supermarkets, insurance and car dealership spends earn Miles at 25% of the domestic earning rate
Petroleum, government services, utility payments, real estate, education and telecommunication spends payments earn 10% of the Miles

Your monthly account balance determines how many Miles you can earn every month.

The Miles you earn are transferred to your Emirates Skywards account approximately 3 weeks after you receive your Skywards Savings Account statement.

Since my spend is calculated in USD, what conversion rate is used?

We use a fixed conversion rate of USD1 = AED3.672.

What happens to my Miles if I don’t have an existing Emirates Skywards membership account?

We'll enroll you as a Skywards member while processing your card or account application. An email confirmation of your membership will be sent to your registered email address and the Miles you earn will be credited to your new Emirates Skywards profile.

I have multiple Emirates Skywards accounts. Which account will my Miles be transferred to?

Your Miles will be credited to the Emirates Skywards Account you provided us during your card or account application process.

What happens to Miles earned on my supplementary debit card?

Miles earned on your supplementary debit card will be transferred to the Emirates Skywards account linked to the primary debit card.

How long will my Skywards Miles be valid for?

This is subject to Emirates Skywards Terms and Conditions.

Are all types of transactions on my debit card eligible to earn Miles?

Only retail spends made using your debit card earn you Miles. Cash withdrawals, bank fees and charges, etc. don’t earn Miles. Click here to learn more about eligible transactions.
