Dubai, January28, 2014: Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, has joined hands once again with 'golf in DUBAi' as co-sponsor, Official Bank and Caddy Bid Sponsor for the Omega Dubai Desert Classic,for the 25th successive year. The partnership is in line with Emirates NBD's 'Passion for Golf' strategy, which is aimed at supporting a series of year-round golf-related initiatives.

The star-studded event takes place from January 27 – Feb 2, 2014, at the Emirates Golf Club, Dubai, and will feature some of the world's top ranking golfing champions.

In line with its 'Passion for Sport' strategy,Emirates NBD plans to utilisethe sponsorship opportunity to further promote the game of golf among customers and via its social media platforms. The bank has partnered with UAE Golf Online to provide golfing commentary and engaging conversation on Emirates NBD Golf Facebook page and via @EmiratesNBDGolf twitter account. Fans can also win spot prizes for tickets to the event, by following the bank's activities on @EmiratesNBDGolf, liking the Emirates NBD Golf Facebook page and sharing it with their contacts. Emirates NBD also plans to leverage its current partnership with Manchester United Football Club, to host Peter Schmeichel, the club's football legend at its VIP box. Emirates NBD customers will have the opportunity to meet both Schmeichel and Rafa Cabrera-Bello,past Omega Dubai Desert Classic winner and Emirates NBD Brand Ambassador,at the VIP Box. In addition, 25 lucky customers can win a dinner with Schmeichel, Manchester United Football Club's best goalie, by answering a question on the Emirates NBD Facebook page.

Sports fans will also be able to experience the golfing skills of Peter Schmeichel, who is well known asMAN Utd'smost capped goal keeper. Two lucky customers can also win the opportunity to golf alongside himand one of the past Omega Dubai Desert Classic Champions, as the legendplaysin the Emirates NBD Pro Am team during the 25th anniversary of the tournament.

Emirates NBD is also offering 10 lucky children the opportunity to play football with Peter Schmeichel in a 'Beat the Goalie' Penalty shootout,at the tournament village.
