An enterprise capability for Business Banking customers to ease their onboarding journey by collaborating with 4 licensing authorities (Abu Dhabi Economic Department, DMCC, DSO and JAFZA) with more in the pipeline.

Vision Labs and Smart Engines

Document validation made instant

We were the first bank in the region to give customers the capability to open new accounts on mobile using contactless identity verification. TrueID, a contactless NFC technology solution, can be used by anyone opening a new bank account through our Mobile Banking app.

UAE PASS

We took the hassle out of authentication

We integrated our website with UAE PASS, the secure national digital identity and signature solution, enabling individual customers to seamlessly open a bank account using their UAE PASS credentials.

Compliance FinTech Day

We got an outside-in view of emerging technologies and market trends in the Compliance space and identified potential collaboration and integration opportunities, which could deliver business value to our compliance organization by improving or complementing existing processes through operational efficiency, cost savings or customer experience.

At Expo 2020 Dubai, we showcased our pioneering vision for the future of global banking, championing inclusion, sustainability and new possibilities through our on-site presence 'Future Banking by Emirates NBD and Emirates Islamic', enabling millions of visitors from around the world to experience innovative and futuristic concept-driven banking exhibits that address future challenges.

To achieve this, 3 key design principles served as the foundation and guiding map:

Thought Leadership on agile & invisible banking.

Spanning 3,000 square foot in the Al Wasl Avenue, the Future Banking zone comprised five distinct pods each housing deeply immersive, interactive and engaging exhibits that shine light on the role that banks will play in fulfilling customers’ future needs, aspirations and goals. Led by our customer-centric philosophy, and developed in partnership with leading global players, each exhibit was designed to deliver meaningful and sustainable impact, leveraging emerging technologies, data, the power of ecosystems, and new business models and opportunities.
