You can buy and sell foreign currency at any of our branches. It's best that you call us 24 hours before you come so we can arrange your requested currency at your preferred branch.

If you’re travelling, you can exchange up to AED 50,000 worth of foreign currency at the Emirates NBD Dubai International Airport pay office. At other branches, you can exchange up to AED 100,000 a day.

We’re open Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm and Saturday 8am to 3pm.

Tip: Always call and place your request to avoid disappointment as not all currencies are readily available. We'll need to arrange for the currencies in advance.

FAQs

What are ‘buy’ rates and ‘sell’ rates and when are they applied?

A ‘buy’ rate applies when you’re buying AED and a ‘sell’ rate applies when you’re selling AED.

So, let’s say you’re exchanging foreign currency for AED, then the ‘buy’ rate will be applied as the bank is buying the foreign currency from you, and if you’re exchanging AED for foreign currency, then the ‘sell’ rate will be applied as the bank is selling the foreign currency to you.

What if I have an urgent requirement for foreign currency?

If you have an urgent requirement for foreign currency, then call us on +971 600 54 0000 and we’ll be happy to help. Your request will be subject to availability of the currency.

How much foreign currency can I purchase at the Emirates NBD Dubai International Airport Pay Office?

You can exchange up to AED 50,000 worth of foreign currency at the Emirates NBD Dubai International Airport pay office and up to AED 100,000 from other Emirates NBD branches. Please note that the foreign currency is subject to availability. We recommend that you place your request 24 hours before visiting the branch so we can ensure we have your currency ready for you.
