Working in Treasury means being in the heart of Emirates NBD. I started in an entry-level Desk role and worked my way up. I love managing the balance sheet and our excess liquidity. This is mission-critical for any bank and considering how important Emirates NBD is to the UAE, it means we’re supporting our nation’s continued economic prosperity as well.

I am being sponsored by Emirates NBD to complete a Masters in Big Data and Business Analytics at ESCP Business School, which is based in Paris. My manager approached me to complete the course as part of my continued development and learning journey. There’s a huge push to stay on top of data and AI-driven trends so we future-proof ourselves and the bank too. It’s been an eye opener and allowed me to really expand my networking base.

I believe there is a lot more support for women in the bank now. That’s through our updated maternity and flexible work policies and with more overall management focus too. We also have a 25 percent female leadership mandate to be achieved by 2027.

I have three kids so I’m busy outside work but I’m passionate about art, especially mosaics and oil paintings. In 2019, I had my work exhibited in Castel dell'Ovo in Naples, Italy and that was a huge achievement for me. I recently started mosaic classes and my two eldest children also fell in love with this art form so we go to classes together now.
