Current role and team | Principal Delivery Lead - Digital Products Everyday Banking, Group IT |
Education | Bachelor of Computer Science, Al Yarmouk University, Amman, Jordan |
Interests | Flexing my creative muscle with food decoration and interior design |
I joined Emirates NBD in July 2015, moving with my young family from Jordan to Dubai. It was a big change but the opportunity to work for such a well-known bank was something I couldn’t pass up.
Over my time here, I’ve had four different roles. Firstly as a Project Manager in Core Banking, then transitioning to a Scrum Master during our transformation in 2018, then a Delivery Lead for Digital Products, mainly working on our ENBDX platform, and I recently got promoted to Principal Delivery Lead.
Each role change was a big shift but I’ve always had strong support internally and that’s one of the main reasons for my long tenure here.
One of the most significant changes we’ve gone through was adopting Agile as our way of working. It’s greatly enhanced our ability to deliver outstanding digital services and improved our internal team collaboration too.
I think Emirates NBD is a great place for tech professionals because there’s plenty of room to grow and you’re always supported along the way. The culture here really encourages you to take on new challenges and that’s made my journey here so rewarding.
Outside of work, I love getting creative, whether that’s decorating food or diving into interior design over the weekend.

Current role and team | Software Engineer, Group IT |
Education | Bachelor of Information Technology, Higher College of Technology |
Interests | Photography and cycling in Dubai during the winter months |
I joined Emirates NBD through our Bedaya graduate programme because of the bank’s reputation and growth story.
What I never expected so early on in my career at Emirates NBD, was to have already earnt qualifications from prestigious universities like Oxford and MIT. Specifically, through our fantastic Future Tech Program, I’ve now got qualifications from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, focusing on blockchain strategy and AI. My certifications from MIT are in software engineering and Cloud DevOps. That’s the kind of exceptional educational opportunities Emirates NBD offers from day one.
After Bedaya, I transitioned into a backend Software Engineering role, applying my passion for application development and working with the latest technologies to enhance our digital solutions. It’s exciting to be part of a team that’s driving innovation and continuously improving the way we work.
Outside the office, I'm all about photography and I love capturing all of life's best moments. When the weather's nice, you can find me cycling around Meydan and Sharjah. Overall, working at Emirates NBD has been a great experience. I know I can be really successful here and I'm looking forward to what's next!

Current role and team | Lead Platform Owner – Integration, Group IT |
Education | Bachelor of Engineering, Comsats University, Pakistan |
Interests | I’m an outdoor enthusiast and love going out to the desert in the cooler months |
First off, the culture here is something you don’t see every day. The diversity is great – I get to work with people from all over the world and it really pushes me to step outside my comfort zone.
The organizational structure is really flat too. I can reach out to anyone in our IT leadership team whenever I need to. In previous companies, that kind of access just wasn’t possible.
There’s also a strong focus on innovation. We invest in a lot of research and development, and we’re constantly pushed to lead projects outside our typical roles. For me, that’s included projects to improve our ENBD X app and adding User Interface capabilities to our APIs. Both were really rewarding to be involved in.
What’s also been rewarding is the fact that I've moved around quite a bit – starting in Operations, then moving to become a Platform Owner, then a Senior Platform Owner, and now I’m a Platform Lead. The variety has kept me on my toes and I’ve loved it. I always say to people in my team, if you feel like you’re stuck in your career, take a look at my journey. It’s proof that if you go after what you want, you can make it happen at Emirates NBD.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and getting out into the desert on weekends. I’m an outdoor enthusiast and it’s a great way to recharge.
But when I’m at work, it’s all about pushing boundaries, learning and growing – and that’s exactly what I get at Emirates NBD.

Current role and team | Head of Technology Regulation and Business Management, Group IT |
Education | MBA (Finance), Mumbai University, India |
Interests | Spending time with my adorable dog Momo and exploring new countries. |
I joined Emirates NBD in 2015 as a consultant. I never imagined I’d be here today, leading a team of 12 and managing all of our tech regulations at a Senior Director level.
Our IT transformation was a total game-changer especially by bringing in top talent and innovation, and we’re just getting started. With Emirates NBD’s international growth on top of that, it’s an exciting time to be here, especially in IT security.
Emirates NBD has been amazing in supporting my leadership journey through development programs and the invaluable mentorship I’ve received from senior leaders. It’s something I’m so thankful for, particularly since I didn’t start my career in IT Security.
I really believe Emirates NBD is a great place for women in tech too. The Career Comeback Programme is one example of how our bank supports women, especially with STEM backgrounds, in returning to the workforce. The bottom line is that talented people are always supported here, and there are so many opportunities to grow and thrive.
Outside of work, I love hanging out with my dog, Momo. We both enjoy relaxing on the sofa, unwinding over Netflix and making the most of our downtime. And whether it’s tackling challenges at work or planning my next trip abroad, I love finding new ways to grow and explore.

Current role and team | Senior Platform Owner – Data Centre, Group IT |
Education | Bachelor of Science – Electrical Engineering, Al Balqaa University, Jordan |
Interests | I’m a sports guy – I swim at least twice a week and play football once a week |
I can say with certainty that leading Emirates NBD’s data centers is just the best job for me! We’ve got 14 data centers around the world and counting to manage our growing data requirements. To give you a sense of scale, our annual transactions stack up to over 2.5 petabytes - the equivalent of filling about 250,000 1GB USB drives every single year.
Of course, it’s not just about processing our data either; it’s about how we collate and analyze it to make data-driven decisions. That’s where our Center of Advanced Analytics comes in and working alongside them has been a great experience.
If you’re doing well, you’ll definitely be recognized here. In just two years, I received a promotion that really took me by surprise. But it wasn’t a fluke - it was a recognition of my hard work and the tremendous progress we’ve made with the data center platform.
Emirates NBD is a great place for data professionals because your contributions matter. The opportunities for growth are real and the technology we use is top-notch.
Outside of work, I’m all about sports - swimming, football and camping with friends at spots like RAK and Al Qudra. I’m also a huge fan of music concerts, especially Arabic performers from Egypt and the Gulf region.
Being part of Emirates NBD has been an incredible journey, and I’m excited about where we’re headed next!
Joined Emirates NBD | May 2018 |
Current role and team | Delivery Lead – Digital Products Business Banking, Group IT |
Education | Bachelor of Commerce, Ain Shams University, Egypt |
Interests | Football – like most Egyptians, I love Liverpool FC! |
I kicked off my career at Emirates NBD in Egypt, working from our Cairo Head Office. I saw a lot of exciting opportunities in Dubai so in 2018, I made the move with my family and I haven’t looked back since!
I can only describe my career here as a fantastic journey. I started out as a Project Manager with an IT component in my role but I saw how quickly Emirates NBD’s flagship IT transformation was accelerating so I made the leap into IT. That opened up a range of roles for me, firstly as an IT Business Partner, then as a Project Lead, followed by an Application Projects Lead. Now I’m a Delivery Lead for Digital Products in Business Banking. Every 18 months or so, I’ve taken on a new challenge and the learning never stops. I love pushing myself out of my comfort zone, especially since my career didn’t even start in IT.
I definitely feel valued at Emirates NBD. I still remember distinctly how much the bank supported us during the tough COVID-19 lockdowns. I believe if someone is loyal to you, you should be loyal back to them and it’s one of the many reasons I’ve continued with Emirates NBD.
On a personal note, Dubai is an awesome place for families. It’s really safe and on weekends, I like watching Liverpool FC games - especially when Mohamed Salah is playing. It’s a great place to work and live, and I’m proud to be a part of Emirates NBD.
Joined Emirates NBD | September 2023 |
Current role and team | Assistant Manager – IT Remote Support and Quality |
Education | Bachelor of Information Security, Higher Colleges of Technology |
Interests | Traveling – and my favorite place is Zell Am See in Salzburg, Austria |
After joining Emirates NBD’s Bedaya graduate programme in 2023, I never imagined that I’d already be managing two teams with 25 people reporting to me. The experience has been a huge learning curve, both technically in IT and from a leadership perspective but I’ve loved every moment of it.
What I truly appreciate about Emirates NBD is that career progression isn’t based on tenure. The opportunities here are unrivaled; for everyone but especially if you’re Emirati and show results. I don’t think you’ll find the same level of rapid development anywhere else.
Continuous learning is something I believe in and Emirates NBD encourages this in abundance. I’m already looking to further develop my leadership skills by taking a coaching course and I’ve enrolled in a Six Sigma program to deepen my technical expertise.
Outside of work, I love to travel and my favorite spot is Zell Am See in Salzburg, Austria. The peaceful, mountainous landscape is perfect for unwinding, just like reading a good book.
But overall, it’s the supportive and dynamic environment at Emirates NBD that makes it a fantastic place to work, especially for those looking to grow in tech and leadership.
Thank you for your feedback!
We'd love to know.
