Yes, you can sign up and create a temporary digital banking profile using mobile number, e-mail address and a secure password. Afterwards, you can log in anytime to the Emirates NBD Mobile Banking App using your e-mail address as your user ID and password to resume the account opening journey. The App allows you to save your progress anytime during the journey and come back again later to complete.
Your account can be opened through the Mobile Banking App within a few minutes, generally between 5-12 minutes. Please follow the on-screen instructions to open the account. We will request you to take a selfie. Please ensure you have your valid Passport and Emirates ID handy with you.
Please make sure you take a proper selfie by placing your full face in the selfie frame. You will need to blink once and the App will auto capture your selfie. Avoid incomplete frames, dark places and remove your glasses while taking the selfie.
You can upload your documents by scanning your valid original Passport and Emirates ID. You need to scan the first page of your Passport by fitting the documents inside the frame while scanning. Please make sure that your Emirates ID is active and valid and scan front and back side. Always avoid bright light on while scanning original documents.

Yes, you can request for a Credit Card also along with the account opening and your request will be addressed to the relevant team within Emirates NBD. An Emirates NBD representative will contact you within the next 48 hours to proceed with the Credit Card Application.
Zero minimum balance required, if your salary is transferred to Emirates NBD. In case your salary is not transferred to Emirates NBD, then a minimum monthly average balance of AED 3,000/- is required to be maintained.
In most cases, the account will be opened instantly and you will receive your Account Number. In cases when your Application might need additional review, you will either receive a notification within 24 hours or an Emirates NBD representative will get in touch with you for additional documents.

Currently self-employed individuals are not allowed to open an account using the Emirates NBD Mobile Banking App.
You will be contacted by the courier service within 1-2 working days of account opening to deliver your Welcome Pack. The Welcome Pack will contain your Debit Card and Cheque book (if you have requested those upon your account opening). Please keep your original Emirates ID handy as it would be needed for verification during the delivery process.
In cases wherein courier is not able to verify your identity using your original Emirates ID, you will need to visit any of the nearest Emirates NBD Branches to be physically verified by the branch staff. You will need to show your original Passport or Emirates ID to the branch representative for verification.
Your signature will be taken at the time of the Welcome Pack delivery by the courier representative
