In addition to the currency exchange rates, the following fees and charges apply to GlobalCash Card. Fees and charges are subject to variation in accordance with the terms and conditions. Individual merchants or ATM operators may charge additional fees.

Important information

GlobalCash Card cannot be used for money transfers or for accessing or purchasing goods from adult or gambling internet sites (when correctly identified), and must not be used for any unlawful activity. You must comply with all laws and regulations (including any foreign exchange controls) in respect of the card in the country of purchase and/or use.
Load and reload fees and limits apply. Reloads are calculated using the Emirates NBD currency to currency foreign exchange rate.
Some ATM operators and merchants may directly charge a fee. Daily transaction and ATM withdrawal limits apply. Transactions and fees that require a currency conversion are calculated using Mastercard® foreign exchange rates and are subject to the Emirates NBD foreign currency conversion fee.

The Mastercard® foreign exchange rate and Emirates NBD foreign currency conversion fee apply when:

You use the card to make a transaction (ATM, point of sale, internet or phone) and the card does not hold the currency.
A fee is charged to the card in a currency not on the card.
Funds are moved from one currency purse to another currency purse on the card.

If you have the right currency already loaded onto the card, and sufficient funds to complete the transaction on the card, when you make a purchase or withdrawal you won’t pay any cross currency conversion or foreign exchange rate fees.

You acknowledge the Issuer, Mastercard and their respective agents may collect Personal Information in connection with the provision of the Card, including Personal Information contained in any application form, correspondence, emails, telephone calls, internet communications and transactional information.
By applying for and Activating the Card, you consent to the Issuer, and Mastercard collecting, using and disclosing (including to each other) your Personal Information
- to provide you with, and facilitate the provision of, the Card and the Services as contemplated under these Terms and Conditions.
- to monitor compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
- for anti-money laundering (AML), detection of crime, legal compliance and fraud prevention purposes, including as required under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006.
- for the recovery of any money that you owe under these Terms and Conditions.
By applying for and activating the Card you also consent to the Issuer and Mastercard disclosing Personal Information obtained from or relating to you to Bank and collecting, using and disclosing (including to each other) your Personal Information, including Personal Information collected from third parties, for the purposes of
- Bank or any of its related bodies corporate, providing benefits, products or services, including providing Emirates NBD Points to you.
- Bank or any of its related bodies corporate improving customer service, including by means of research, conducting analyses and preparing analytics, marketing, product development and planning.
- Bank marketing its products or services or the products or services of third parties, including by direct marketing and.
- Any third party providing services to the Bank, any of its related corporate bodies or to the Bank or the conduct of the above purposes.
The Issuer and Mastercard may disclose your Personal Information to overseas recipients in the United Kingdom and the United States of America for the purposes set out above. From the time the UAE Privacy Principles apply, the Issuer and Mastercard would be required to take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the UAE Privacy Principles, but do not have to do so if you consent to the disclosure overseas. By applying for and activating the Card, you consent to the Issuer and Mastercard disclosing your Personal Information to overseas recipients as described in this clause.
If you do not agree to provide the Personal Information requested by us, then we cannot make the Card available to you, and you should not apply for and activate the Card.
You must notify the Bank immediately of any change to your contact details. You can update your phone number and email address by visiting any of the Bank Branches. We will not be responsible if you do not receive any notice or correspondence that has been sent in accordance with the contact details you have provided to us.
You may be required to provide information to the Issuer, or Mastercard (including evidence of identity) when Activating the Card or adding additional Funds to the Card.
The Issuer and Mastercard will take reasonable steps to keep Personal Information secure in accordance with and comply with their respective privacy policy as applicable to the Card. Each party’s uses and disclosures of your Personal Information may be different. For details about the Bank’s privacy practices, see Emirates NBD Privacy Policy at emiratesnbd.com.
In addition, by applying for a Card, you consent to Mastercard and the Bank using and disclosing your Personal Information to notify you of our related products, promotions and customer surveys that we may conduct from time to time.
Your Personal Information will not be shared or used for any other purpose except as stated above unless we are required or permitted to do so as a result of any laws and regulations, by a court order or by any business or persons to whom we transfer our rights and obligations under the agreement between you and the Issuer which is governed by these Terms and Conditions.
We will continue to keep any Personal Information that is necessary after the closure of your Card on the same terms as are set out above (including to meet legally imposed record keeping requirements and AML record keeping obligations).
You are entitled to ask the Issuer to supply you with any Personal Information that Mastercard or the Issuer (respectively) hold about you. Mastercard or the Issuer (as applicable) will delete any incorrect information or correct any errors in any of your Personal Information that come to our notice. The applicable privacy policy contains information on how you may access and seek correction of the Personal information held by the Issuer or Mastercard. The applicable privacy policy also contains information on how you may complain about a breach of the National or UAE Privacy Principles (as applicable) by the Issuer or Mastercard and how that complaint will be dealt with.
To aid us in the provision of the services provided under these Terms and Conditions, in the interest of security, and to help the Issuer and Mastercard maintain and to improve their level of service, all telephone calls may be recorded and/or monitored.
