Dos and Don'ts

  • Pay with your Debit Card whenever you can, this will decrease your risk of carrying cash and will help you manage your expenses.
  • Treat your card as cash, never leave it unattended.
  • Sign the back of your new Debit Card immediately after you receive it.
  • Make sure that the Debit Card returned to you after doing purchases at merchant establishments is yours.
  • Check your statements regularly and contact us immediately if you notice any irregularity.
  • To enable us to serve you better, always keep your contact details updated including your mobile number as the mobile number is mandatory for Debit Card activation and PIN reset.
  • If your card is held back by the ATM, please inform us immediately by calling us on 800 456.
  • Please change your Debit Card PIN number once every three months.
  • Keep your PIN number confidential. Do not write it down or keep it with your card.
  • Do not disclose your PIN number to anyone including bank staff as bank staff will never ask you for your PIN.
  • If your Emirates NBD Debit Card is ever lost, stolen or misplaced, contact us immediately on 800 456 to report it. It is important to completely verify yourself as the card holder on the phone. You are also required to confirm the same in writing.
  • Please do not provide any financial/personal/Debit Card related information to an unknown Internet site or respond to any email seeking such information from you.
