1. What is the acquisition offer on Emirates NBD Starwood Preferred Guest World Mastercard credit card?
Customers who apply for the Emirates NBD Starwood Preferred Guest World Mastercard credit card are eligible to receive SPG points as below:
a. Welcome Bonus points on successful application
Emirates NBD Starwood Preferred Guest World Mastercard cardholders will be awarded 75,000 SPG points on successful application. The points will be issued on the payment of the Joining Fee for the card.
b. Additional Bonus points on Spends
Emirates NBD Starwood Preferred Guest World Mastercard cardholders will receive additional 75,000 SPG points on completion of eligible spends of US$10,000 in the first 3 billing cycles.
Therefore, Emirates NBD Starwood Preferred Guest World Mastercard cardholders can receive total 150,000 SPG points with the above offer.
2. What is the validity period of the above offer?
The above offer is valid for all customers applying between 1st October and 15th November 2018. The offer is not valid for renewal and replacement cards.
3. What is the eligibility for the offer?
The current Emirates NBD Starwood Preferred Guest World Mastercard Offer is valid only for customers applying between 1st October and 15th November 2018. There is no change in the credit policy to apply for the cards.
To be eligible to receive the SPG points, card account should not be in delinquent status. Cardholders will be excluded from receiving the SPG points even if the qualifying criteria is met but the card account is in delinquent status at the time of crediting the points.
4. Which spends qualify for the additional spend based SPG points?
Spend points of 75,000 points will be awarded only for domestic and international retail spends made in the first 3 billing statement.
Cash Transactions, Late Payment Charges, Finance Charges, Joining Fee, Annual Membership Fee, Credit Vouchers, Balance Transfer Bookings, Dial-a-cheque, any internal calculations, etc. are excluded for cumulative retail spends calculation.
Transactions that are reversed or canceled will not account towards the spends requirements. SPG points will not be awarded to card accounts which fall short of the required retail spends due to reversal or cancellation of transactions. Reversal of transaction after the points has been issued to cardholder will result in reversal of equivalent SPG points from the cardholder’s SPG account. If points balance is insufficient for reversal, equivalent fee towards the cost of points will be debited to the cardholder’s card account.
5. Will the current SPG points offer continue to exist?
From 1st October 2018, the existing offer will be discontinued and the new offers will be applicable.
6. Is there a specific criteria to be met before issuance of Welcome and Spend based Bonus points?

7. Is there any change in the applicable Fee on the cards?
There is no change in the fee applicable for the cards. The current Joining Fee is AED 1,500, the Annual Fee and Express points Fee are valid.
8. When are the SPG points credited into the cardholder’s account?
The Welcome Bonus points on joining will be credited to the primary cardholder’s SPG account within 4 weeks after the Joining Fee is paid.
The Additional Bonus points based on spends will be transferred to the primary cardholder’s SPG account within 4 weeks after the required spends are achieved.
