Emirates NBD Asset Management boosts investment team on equities and fixed income strategies
  • Marwan Haddad (Senior Portfolio Manager) joins Equities team from Al Mal Capital
  • Chandru Bhatia (Senior Portfolio Manager) joins Fixed Income team from Rasmala Investment Bank

Dubai, United Arab Emirates; 26th September 2018: Emirates NBD Asset Management has announced the strengthening of its investment team, with two senior hires for its Equities and Fixed Income strategies. Marwan Haddad has joined the business as Senior Portfolio Manager in the Equities team, having previously been at Al Mal Capital, while Chandru Bhatia has joined the Fixed Income team – also as Senior Portfolio Manager – from Rasmala Investment Bank.

Haddad will be the named portfolio manager, along with Yong Wei Lee and Richard Lee on the Emirates MENA Top Companies Fund (USD 115.2 million as at 31 August 2018), Emirates MENA Opportunities Fund (USD 59.3 million as at 31 August 2018) and the ENBD Saudi Arabia Equity Fund (USD 49.9 million as at 31 August 2018).

Bhatia will assist the Head of Fixed Income, Angad Rajpal and Director Fixed Income, Parth Kikani, in managing the MENA and Emerging Market Fixed Income strategies. His areas of responsibility will include the Emirates MENA Fixed Income Fund (USD 216.8 million as at 31 August 2018), Emirates Global Sukuk Fund (USD 260.6 million as at 31 August 2018) and Emirates Emerging Market Corporate Bond Absolute Return Fund (USD 72.6 million as at 31 August 2018), as well as a number of segregated mandates.
